It is with regret that we announce the cancellation of this year's Road Gravel Mountain event. The decision to cancel the event was not taken lightly, but was made in response to unforeseen road traffic control requirements the council has posed with the permit and additional costs associated with that, which have posed significant challenges for the successful execution of the event at this stage.

The increased road traffic control requirements and associated costs involved in that have created unexpected hurdles that have impacted the feasibility of hosting the event this year. As a result, the event has not been able to secure the necessary resources and support to ensure a safe and seamless experience for all participants.

In light of these developments, we believe it is prudent to cancel the event until further discussions can be held with the council to address the concerns and explore viable solutions that would enable the event to proceed in the future. We are committed to resolving these issues and reinstating the Road Gravel Mountain event once the necessary arrangements are in place.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience or disappointment caused by the cancellation of this year's event. We value the support and enthusiasm of our participants and supporters, and we remain dedicated to delivering an exceptional event experience that aligns with our shared commitment to quality and safety.

Road Gravel Mountain (RGM) is a picturesque gravel race throughout the Bellangry State Forest and along council rural roads throughout the Hastings Hinterland. You will ride along tracks, trails, gravel, and tar roads, through creeks/water crossings and rocky sections. The courses are truly breathtaking to experience. You do not get the true picture of how special it is unless you see and experience it yourself to believe it.
