This November Cooper will be taking on his biggest challenge to date. He will be flying from Sydney NSW to Hobart TAS with his gravel bike on 4th November 2023. From here he will ride across Tasmania and catch a ferry to Melbourne (the main land), then ride 4000km approx. to raise awareness for Men's Health, a charity which is very close to Cooper's heart.
As apart of his training, he set himself a goal of riding 500km in 24 hours moving time.
This took place on Friday 25th August 2023, starting at 5pm and being supported by a group of mates, mum and dad.
Here's how it unfolded, it is truly amazing what can happen when you set your mind to a goal and just ask for help.

Update:
Cooper is at 473.81 in 22.10.13hrs moving time.
He has set himself a goal of 500km in 24hr moving time with rests like he will have on his trip.
He has 1.49.47hrs left to get his goal. So proud of him.
The longest ride before this was his solo ride of 200km to South West Rocks and back, only a few months ago.
So in life you must set yourself goals, dream of achieving those goals.
You must also go within yourself, hit the wall your body has set for you to help protect you and push through it.
He has done that and more. He has also learnt that to achieve these goals, you will need friends and people around you to help.
Keep going Coop, you are so close.

And he is done 500.71km in 23.23hrs moving time.
Bit of an emotional moment.
To know you have achieved what you set out to do.
Now time to stop, rest and reset.

Next morning:
There is hope, dreams, thrive, will, want, goal, determination in that smile and all achieved in the end.
Thanks to Rob Lloyd at Sportive Media for the photos of 'moments in time' for Coop to look back on.
Big thankyou to his friends that hang out with him over the weekend. Some rode a lap or 2 with him. Zac even got on his e-bike and it only did up to 40km per hour and Cooper left him on the down hills doing over 56km per hour. Lucky he had his hi-vis vest on so they could see which way he turned. Special mention to Harry, Shannon, Tom, Zac, Blake, Mat (his dad) for going out with him and also attending to all his needs across this weekend. You guys are priceless, we really appreciate the support you give him when he says, lets' go for a ride or run, come train with me. Thanks guys.
What a few days it was. Dillon Rinn his mentor/friend, took a few phone calls on Sunday and gave him some very wise words and advice. He looks up to you and you really got him moving again early Sunday morning when he hit the wall. The call to Dillon at the end was an very emotional moment for Cooper. Two friend talking about mentally toughness, changes, goals and results.
What a weekend.
Bring on the next training adventure.
